How to reduce your Credit Card Debt

Steps:

1. Keep in mind that your creditor is probably very willing to work with you. It’s in his or her best interest to have you making some payment versus no payment. So here are a couple of points to help you deal with your credit card debt.
2. Contact your creditor and explain your situation. Ask for a lower interest rate or a repayment plan.
3. Stop using your cards. Cut them up, freeze them in a tub of water, whatever you need to do to get them out of your wallet or purse, do it!
4. Pay off the cards with the highest interest rate first and work from there. How do you do that? Call the companies and pin down exactly what rate you are actually paying on each card.
5. Keep your chin up and have a good attitude. Millions of folks just like you have begun to cut their credit card debt by following the common sense steps outlined above. You can do it too. Good luck.

Tips

* You might not have thought of it because you’re just naturally so polite, but it’s a very good strategy to be courteous at all times when negotiating with your creditor. Polite, but firm. Come across as one who knows what you’re asking for and expect to get it.
* If you’re not sure what you’re asking for in the first place you might consider a reputable credit counseling service. There are many honest organizations out there whose mission is to help you work things out with your creditors.
* Avoid the temptation to keep adding to the problem by running your debt up any higher. This is actually one of the hardest parts of cutting your credit card debt. It’s like you’re addicted to spending money you don’t have. So go cold turkey and drop the habit.

Warnings

* Pay more than the minimum balance each month. The minimum is designed to keep you on the hook longer. The credit card companies are in this business to make a profit and want to have you paying them for years to come. Even a little extra each month makes a big difference in the long run and may cut years off your payments.

Improved Soy Sauce Production with Reduced Fermentation Period (Toyo)

Soy sauce is a dark brown extract of a fermented mixture of soybean and roasted wheat flour. Soy sauce with 7% protein content meets the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirement. It compares very well with the protein and lactic acid content of known local commercial brands.

Materials:

Soybeans, Brown sugar. Salt solution, 20-22%, Sodium benzoate as preservative, Monosodium glutamate (MSG), Bacteria (Lactobacillus delbrueckii), Yeast (Hansenula subpellicullosa), Sugar molasses, Flour, water, kaolin, Mold (Aspergillus oryzae)

Equipment:

Fermenting Vessels/Vats, Pressure cooker/Horizontal retort, Filter press (Stainless steel), Funnel/Liquid filling machine, Pasteurizer/Kettle, Frying pan, Mixer, Bistay/Trays

Procedure:

Pretreatment of Soybean

Soak soybeans in water overnight, then wash and drain. The soaked beans are steamed with water for one hour at 15 psi. The beans are allowed to cool.

Inoculation

The cooled beans are inoculated with yeast after spreading evenly on a tray or “bistay”. Incubate for 24 hours at room temperature by covering with cheesecloth. This is used as soybean broth. The beans are coated with roasted flour and are subsequently inoculated with mold and bacteria starters. Mix thoroughly and incubate at 30-40 C for 24 hours. The mash formed is transferred into fermenting vats and mixed with 20-22% salt solution. The vats are covered with thick plastic sheets. Fermentation is completed after three months.

Improvement of product

The mixture is clarified with kaolin overnight. The fermented mash is filtered and the brew is pasteurized at 80-85 C for 30 minutes. Caramelized brown sugar is added to improve flavor, color and viscosity of soy sauce. Sodium benzoate is added as a preservative. The product is bottled.

How to Get Rich Easily

It seems that everyone wants to get rich. There are books out on that subject, classes that are headed by someone who can show you an easy way to get rich, and many other schemes that guarantee you will get rich fast. Getting rich is one of the main goals of most people, and while it is never easy, there are some legal techniques that may work.

Steps:

** Marry a rich person. You can make more money in a one-hour ceremony in Vegas than you can hope to make in a lifetime.

**Pay for a prestigious secondary education so that you can get a prestigious collegiate education so that you can obtain a prestigious professional degree. Professionals sometimes end up wealthy. Remember that it takes years of study and sacrifice to get to be a professional, so be patient.

**Buy Stocks in a successful and growing company or Get Started Trading Options. Visit an independent adviser if you lack experience in this area.

**Play the lottery with a group. Playing the lottery is usually a waste of money, but if you set aside only a few dollars a week and join with a group you can get hundreds of tickets for your few dollars and you’ll have fun doing it. Here is an example. If you ever do win take the lump sum cash payment and invest it yourself. The cash payouts are usually half as much but you can more than double your money if you invest yourself over thirty years.

**Work to the best of your ability in your present job. If you do not, interview for a job that makes minimum wage and act (convincingly – but don’t overdo it) like you are interested in more than a paycheck. Work hard and suck up, making your way up the promotional ladder. Executives sometimes start out in low-paying jobs; if you have patience and work hard and learn, you might end up in middle-management. If you are incredibly lucky, you might even get rich. Of course, the odds of that happening are barely above the odds of winning the lottery. Also, there is no guarantee: You may work very hard for 25 years and then get ‘downsized’, right as they take away your pension. Relying on the generosity of the rich is not a very safe bet.

**Invest in real estate. Buy a fixer-upper for a low price. Make improvements, and sell it for double what you paid for it. Use the profits to buy a second house, and do the same thing. Look for repossessed houses, and once again, fix them up, and sell for a profit. You never really use your own money, and eventually you will be wealthy.

**Sell antiques or valuable items you may have inherited on eBay.

**Receive a large inheritance. Invest the money in companies that know how to increase profits through downsizing and outsourcing, and watch it grow.

**If you have been reading until here, you’re still searching for that groundbreaking idea to get rich easily – but if it would be that easy everybody would do it. So think out of the box, be creative, challenge your environment to discuss business ideas, learn from people who did it, read their biographies, take an low-paid PA job, keep a record of your progress and your motivation and finally networking, networking, networking.

**Be frugal. Never spend money on anything you do not need for your most basic survival. It’s not how much you make, it’s how much you don’t spend that will make the difference.

Tips:

* Set aside a certain amount of money monthly for investing and saving. Start doing this in your youth, and watch it grow.

* Read bankrate.com and learn about money saving and Investment advice.

* Buy Money magazines, look up investment companies on the Internet. Follow the market. Many people have started with only a few shares, and in time, watched them double and even triple. Be wise and choose well.

* Join stock clubs. They are groups who investigate the market and discuss and invest together.

* Think about this when you are tempted to overspend. The more you have, the more burdensome it becomes: you have to store it, dust it or maybe even insure it.
if you make a lot of compulsive purchases, get rid of credit and actually have your bank limit your spending, if possible only carry cash and only what you need, you can’t spend money if you don’t have any way to get to it at the time.

Warnings:

Get rich quick schemes are invariably scams. Avoid them. There is no such thing as free money unless you inherit it. Then you must handle it wisely, or you will lose that also.

Being wealthy does not always bring happiness. Thinking only of becoming rich, can lead to you becoming a workaholic, which can ruin many a marriage, and lead to divorce.

While stocks can bring you wealth, they can also bring bankruptcy. If you do not know much about stock investing, hire an investor to help you.

Processing Yam or Ubi

Ubi powder. Wash a kilogram of matured and unblemished ubi (preferably the purple variety), and cook unpeeled in 960 cc of water for 30 minutes. Cool before peeling, then grate with an ordinary kitchen grater. Dry for four hours in an oven with a temperature of 40o to 50oC. Pulverize the dried yam in a corn mill grinder and sift through a 70-mesh sieve. Pack and seal the powder in sterile glass jars, then store at the room temperature.

Yam flour. Wash the tubers thoroughly in running water. Cut into slices 2 inches (5 cm) thick, and cook for 20 to 25 minutes or until soft. Peel and mash into pulp, then spread out thinly, about .75 inches (2 cm) thick. Dry for 6 to 8 hours at a temperature of 122o to 158oF (50o to 70oC) until the pulp is only about 10 per cent moist. Ground the dried product finely and sift before packing in polyethene sacks.

Yam chips. This is a relatively new way of processing yam similar to banana chips. Slice the yam thinly and deep dry in fat. Then, allow to cool before packing in bags.

Harvested ubi tubers may be sold yam processors, or made into processed goods for various recipes.

Mashed ubi. Mashed ubi is used in making ubi tarts, ubi fillings, pastillas, yemas, ubi flan, and other delicacies.

For marketable mashed ubi, select good quality tubers. Wash them to remove adhering dirt and divide into half kilo sections. Cook by steaming or boiling for 30 to 45 minutes. Afterwards, peel before shredding or mashing.

Place the processed ubi in a plastic bag, leaving just enough space to seal the bag. store the packed mashed ubi in a freezer for not longer than 6 to 8 months.

Powdered ubi. Wash, cut and boil the yam tubers as making mashed ubi. Peel and slice into thin chips. dry under the sun or with dryer until hard and brittle. Grind chips and sift to fine flour. Repeat grinding and sifting until all the powder is similar to flour in texture.

Place the powdered ubi in plastic bags, and seal completely. Store in a cool dry room.
